The UK has long history of fine seafood, blessed with amazing marine life found throughout our beautiful oceans. However, with fishmongery now a dying trade, and fish stocks not what they once were, we’ve lost many traditions along the way that once made our fishing industry strong and our seafood so enviable.
We’re on a mission to bring back a passion for seafood, educating everyone about the quality of fish in our waters the only way we know how; by showcasing it for everyone to see for themselves and to enjoy. We’ve already tapped into a rapidly growing appetite for locally and sustainably sourced seafood, helping many restaurants up their game and attract savvy customers seeking traceable high quality produce.
We believe that by creating a network of local customers, fishermen & suppliers we can not only protect our oceans, but local jobs, businesses and communities as well.
That’s why for us, it’s all about the fish. Join us on our journey.

Unmatched quality
From the moment our customers receive an order from us, they can see it’s of the highest quality available. We achieve this by creating an efficient sea-to-customer journey with strict processes along the way to achieve maximum freshness & condition.
From the moment our local day-boat fisherman sustainably catch our fish, all treatment is carried out with preservation in mind, and we ensure all fish is quickly transported to our factory. There it is graded by hand with only catches that meet our stringent checks passing before being prepared for delivery; normally within 24-36 hours from sea to restaurant.
This allows our customers to produce dishes that are special as the fish was in the first place, showcasing the quality of fish found in our local seas.
Sustainability & ethics
Today’s customers and restaurants are more conscious than ever, wanting to know how are we protecting the sea and the marine life within it. Here at Celtic Coast, we are constantly moving with this demand, championing sustainable and ethical fishing & consumption.
Our network of local fishermen employ sustainable rod and line catch methods which drastically reduces plastic pollution and marine damage whilst helping preserve ocean stocks for future generations. They also employ humane treatment procedures for all catches.
We work closely to Marine Conservation Society (MCS) guides, allowing our customers to know the exact details of our catches via MCS ratings, including the boat, day, location and catch method. This gives both our customers and their customers peace of mind that their meal hasn’t cost the earth.
Locally sourced
We’re passionate about Wales and firmly believe some of the the UK’s best seafood can be found in our waters. That’s why we’re so driven to protect our oceans for our generation and the generations to come, plus promote the quality and diversity of what’s on offer in our part of the world. We achieve this via our network of local fisherman, which in turn helps protect local jobs within our local fishing industry. Our customers have also discovered the benefits, with diners more keen than ever for locally caught produce.
Thanks to our MCS guidelines and our stringent sourcing methods, you’ll have a local sourcing policy that is thorough and traceable without the headaches. That’s why when you buy fish from Celtic Coast you’re buying more than just a product, but an entire solution.
